Welcome to the NSFA!
We have three membership categories:
- Community Organizations
Regular Members are anyone who is an NSFA certified fitness professional (PT, RT, GEL, AEL, OAL, MBL, ICE) and is part of our insurance plan.
Please note: You cannot join as a Regular member without prior approval from an NSFA administrator.
Definition: an NSFA certified fitness professional who is living and working in Nova Scotia and who meets the annual requirements for re-certification.
*Please Note* our annual renewal for Regular members is June 15th. Anyone joining on another date will have their annual fee prorated.
Associate Members are those who are not NSFA certified, and are therefore not insured by us, but who wish to be members of our organization for other benefits. Anyone may self-register as an Associate member.
Definition: Someone who is not certified through NSFA or any other NFLA/ICREPS affiliate. They may have certifications from other organizations or not be certified at all.
Community Organization Members
New as of May 2022!
Community Organizations are any charity or non-profit that, for any reason, would like to have an official relationship with the NSFA. This is a no-fee membership. Community Organizations are entitled to membership prices for NSFA events & are given free space for materials in the swag bags at the annual NSFA Exercise Leadership Summit. We also host a meeting every summer for Community Organizations to come together to network, share ideas & best practices, and collaborate.
The Nova Scotia Fitness Association is a non-profit organization.
Please fill "next" to start the registration process.
Anyone may join any time as an Associate Member or Community Organization Member. Only those with an NFLA certificate can become Regular Members.
New Regular Members cannot self-register, only an NSFA Administrator can grant you access to that level.
