Registration

  • This program focuses on components of fitness, class design, use of music, cueing, choreography and leadership skills. Emphasis is on exercise for the active, older adult who lives independently and may or may not use a gait aid.

Older Adult Fitness Leader (OAL)

Learn to teach basic cardio, strength, & stretch classes to older adults of varying levels of fitness.


Dates: January 12, 19, 26, & February 2.

Time:  6:00 to 8:30pm 

Course Conductors: Linda Donnelly & Judi Harvey

Location: Online via Zoom

Exams: A written and practical exam are required to complete this course. Full certification also requires completion of Exercise Theory and a 1st Aid & CPR certificate.  COVID-permitting, we will offer in-person provincial exam days twice a year.  If that is not possible, or doesn't work for you, please contact exams@nsfitness.ca to book a 1-on-1 exam with a proctor.
