6th Annual Fall Fitness Brunch
This is our first brunch since Covid-19 began and we are SO excited to finally bring this event back!
Topic
The relationship between fitness, diet culture, and eating disorders is complicated. We know that as fitness professionals, many people are concerned about the health of the individuals with whom they work. There may be questions regarding at what point certain thoughts and behaviour falls into the "ED category," as well as how to identify when someone is ill with an eating disorder, and if so, how to help.
Presenter
Debra Wells-Hopey, program manager with Eating Disorders Nova Scotia, will be presenting "Eating Disorders 101" during which we will bust the myths around eating disorders, talk about what help is available, and have a discussion around diet culture and how it negatively impacts all of us.
Location
Mount St. Vincent University, 166 Bedford Highway, Halifax.
