Empower Every Body: Inclusive Fitness Training That Makes a Difference
Ready to make fitness truly accessible? This course teaches you how to lead cardio, strength, and stretch classes tailored for individuals with disabilities or chronic medical conditions—because movement should be for everyone.
Why it matters:
In Nova Scotia, over 22% of the population is 65+, and a staggering 73% live with chronic illness. In rural communities, those numbers climb even higher. That’s a lot of people who need specialized support to stay strong, safe, and independent.
What you’ll learn:
Discover how to safely and effectively guide older adults and those with health challenges through fitness sessions—whether in a class, small group, or one-on-one. You’ll help them build functional strength, boost their health reserve, and lower their risk of falls—all while creating a welcoming space where they can thrive.
Course Format:
- Online theory delivered through engaging Zoom sessions
- Hands-on practice during an in-person training day to bring your skills to life
This isn’t just a course—it’s a chance to become a catalyst for healthier, more connected communities. Let’s move with purpose.
