Mind & Body Leadership (MBL)

Learn to teach fitness-level Yoga and Meditation classes.

**Please note, all students in MBL must also complete Exercise Theory and have a current 1st Aid & CPR certificate before this certification will be issued.**

Mind & Body Leadership is a 32-hour exercise course that teaches introductory level yoga & meditation skills and protocols for people working with exercise clients.  Students will learn several asanas, as well as teaching tools. class design, risk management, continuing education, and much more.  Those who complete this certification are qualified to teach basic fitness-focused yoga and meditation classes to a general audience , excluding any version of hot yoga or any inversion asanas.

This course includes a manual and your first year of membership in the NSFA.  Instructor's insurance for 1 year is also included for any students who successfully meet all of the certification requirements.

**Please note, this course runs over 2 weekends; 4 days total in the classroom**

All participants must also complete Exercise Theory and have a current 1st Aid & CPR certification before the MBL certificate will be issued.

Dates: May 4 & 5, AND 25 & 26, 2019

Times: 10:00am to 6:00pm each day

Location: Purdy's Wharf Fitness Club (Ground Floor, Tower 2), Halifax

Exams: A written and practical exam are required to complete this course. 

All NSFA written exams will be done at the end of June 2019 (date to be confirmed) in Halifax at Mount St. Vincent University.   If you cannot write at that time a private exam proctor can be arranged for you.  Practicals will be arranged between the student and the course conductor.
